Chrystal Palaty, PhD, Principal Consultant

Dr. Palaty has over 20 years experience in scientific research and project management. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. After completing post-doctoral research at the University of Toronto and at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, she returned to Vancouver and held managerial positions in not-for-profit and industry organizations. She founded Metaphase Health Research Consulting Inc. in 2007 to provide consulting services specifically to health and medical research organizations and works closely with physicians, scientists, project managers, patients and community representatives.
Clients and colleagues trust Chrystal’s straightforward manner and seasoned professionalism. Her personal commitment to community-building also extends to volunteer projects. She coordinated the Southlands Elementary School Playground Committee, and worked with other parents and members of the school community to catalyze the recently completed playground upgrade at Southlands School. The new playground provides a variety of interesting play experiences, where children of all ages and abilities can interact with each other and with the natural environment.
Dr. Palaty recently obtained a Certificate in Management Development from the Sauder School of Business. She is a member of the following organizations: LifeSciences British Columbia, the Canadian Association of Continuing Health Education (CACHE), Clinical Research Professionals of BC (CRPBC) and BioPharmaPM.
